Fox Bros. Piggly Wiggly is an independently owned and operated full-service grocery chain, affiliated with Piggly Wiggly Midwest. It is the only 100% employee-owned grocery store in Southeastern Wisconsin.
Fox Bros. began as a single store in Hartland, Wisconsin owned by Pat and Bob Fox, and has since evolved into ten grocery stores throughout Southeastern Wisconsin.

Fox Bros. Piggly Wiggly is an independently owned and operated full-service grocery chain, affiliated with Piggly Wiggly Midwest. It is the only 100% employee-owned grocery store in Southeastern Wisconsin.
Fox Bros. began as a single store in Hartland, Wisconsin owned by Pat and Bob Fox, and has since evolved into ten grocery stores throughout Southeastern Wisconsin.
FOX BROS. HISTORY
1988 First Fox Bros. store built in Hartland
1997 Second store acquired in nearby Oconomowoc
2004 Oconomowoc Relocation and Hartland Remodeled
2006 Bob Fox retired, and Pat remained as President and Owner
2006 Fox Bros. earned the “Grocer of the Year” award from the Wisconsin Grocers Association
2007 Fox Bros. developed its own award-winning homemade bratwurst, summer sausage, and beef stick products. Currently, about 7,000 lbs. of these products are produced each week
2011 Four corporate stores were purchased by Fox Bros. in Hubertus, Slinger, Jackson, and Saukville, joining the original two stores in Hartland and Oconomowoc. With this expansion, Pat’s wife, Lori, became an active partner in the business.
2014 The County Market in Hartford was acquired, renovated, and reopened.
April 22, 2017 Pat and Lori Fox sold the company to the Fox Bros. team members and Fox Bros. Piggly Wiggly proudly became Wisconsin’s only 100% Employee Owned Grocery Chain. Pat and Lori continued as President and Vice President of the newly formed ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan).
2018 Fox Bros. took over a former Sentry in Port Washington, which became the 8th store.
2018 The Sausage Facility was moved from Oconomowoc to Hartford where a brand new state of the art facility was built as the sausage business continued to grow. Today, all Fox Bros. Sausage products are produced and distributed out of this facility.
2019 Fox Bros. acquired Klotz’s Piggly Wiggly in West Bend, bringing the grand total of stores to nine.
2020 Pat and Lori Fox retired but continue to serve on the board of directors. Pat Barnes became president of Fox Bros. and Mike Olwig was promoted to Vice President/Director of Operations.
2021 Pat Barnes retired, Mike Olwig became president of Fox Bros. and Johnnie Dinkins became Director of Operations.
2022 Fox Bros. Acquired Schoenfeld’s Piggly Wiggly in Beaver Dam, bringing the Fox Bros. family to 10.
Today, Fox Bros. Piggly Wiggly continues to grow with the customers in mind. In the past few years, there have been remodels and expansions at several locations – featuring brand new liquor departments, Fast Lanes, self-serve hot bars, full-service meat cases, parking lot improvements – all to allow customers more options while still providing the same superior service. Bros. Piggly Wiggly would not be what it is today without the Team Members, whose dedication, hard work, and focus on making customers the #1 priority, is invaluable to the company’s overall success.
Community
Fox Bros. Piggly Wiggly has been a strong community supporter since its inception in 1988. Since that time, Fox Bros. has donated more than $1,000,000 in cash and merchandise to various community groups and organizations.
In addition, Fox Bros. provides local community groups the opportunity to sell brats, hamburgers, and hot dogs in the Brat House at each of the stores. Groups can also hold a car wash in conjunction with the Brat House sales and in each day, a group can raise anywhere from $500-$1000. Fox Bros. is also a member of local Chamber of Commerce groups and can often be seen participating in community events, parades and festivals.
